Task: “StoryJumper”
As I have of group of early ages students, I decided to work with “Storyjumper” following some steps:
1.- I created my own “Storyjumper” book.
2.- I Uploaded my book to my blog.
3.- I showed my book to my students.
4.- They thought about the information they wanted to share in their own book and write it in their notebooks.
5.- They worked in groups by reading all the written information so they could revise their classmates´ mistakes and also give them some advice.
6.- Every student created his/her own book and with the help of the teacher recorded their story with their own voices.
The main goal of this task was to improve our students´ writing skills but what we got was an improvement also in their reading and speaking skills.
These were the objectives we got by working through this task:
The students really enjoyed recording their voices for the story, although we had to change the computer we started working with because it was not able to record audios. We fixed it just using the teacher´s portable computer.
Finally, the stories were displayed in the classroom using the smart board that we have and the students were really proud of themselves.
